After saving Elturel and surviving Avernus, the party returns to the Material Plane changed.
They are no longer ordinary adventurers. They are powerful, famous, watched, and feared. They have redeemed Zariel, freed Elturel, and made an enemy of Asmodeus.
But returning from Hell does not mean returning to peace.
The world has moved on without them. Baldur’s Gate is darker than they remember. Cults have risen. Families have broken. Their names carry weight now, but so do their scars.
This act follows the first major aftermath of Avernus: the return to Baldur’s Gate and Waterdeep, Giovanni’s family crisis, Costa’s transformation, the investigation into the deaths around Giovanni’s past, the Von Buchs nightmare, and the first signs that the party’s victory in Hell has made them part of something much larger.
